Cycling for Our Children AdMichael V. Webb is proud to be a lifelong resident of St. Charles, where Webb Insurance was founded more than 35 years ago. Michael is active in the local community and the St. Charles chapter of Kiwanis, an international service organization striving to bring aid to children in need.
As a past president and fundraising chairman, Michael is spearheading this year’s 4th annual Cycling for Our Children bike ride, which will begin at the St. Charles Soccer Complex on Saturday, August 11. All proceeds from the event supports Addiction is Real, Inc. (AIR), a St. Louis nonprofit organization whose sole mission is to provide parents with resources to have proactive discussions with their children about the dangers of drugs and alcohol.
Webb Insurance, The Kiwanis Club of St. Charles and AIR have a shared passion for supporting children to become the future of our community. AIR was chosen as this year’s charity of choice because of their commitment to stop addiction and substance abuse before it happens. According to AIR, parents who talk to their kids early and often about the dangers of drugs and alcohol can reduce their chances of trying them by up to 50 percent.
